Dorothy Forster: A Novel, Volume 2
This novel in three books ia a History of the northumberland Jacobites told through the eyes of a young woman (Dorothy Forster) who is known to have rescued her brother from prison before he can be executed. Author Walter Besant was a contemporary of Chales Dickens and wrote around 100 novels. DOROTHY FORSTER, he felt was among his very best works. It certainly has held my interest through the first two volumes.
The work is a mix of history, romance and adventure.
Now I am on to Volume III.
